Cellar's Christmas Luncheon

Enjoy Christmas with a difference, treat yourself and your family to a superb Christmas day luncheon. The luncheon will include Christmas crackers, party hats and bucks fizz on arrival followed by a superb gourmet spectacular from the bygone era of traditional Indian Raj hospitality. Experience the regal cuisine of India as inspired by the great Moguls, Nawabs and Rajahs, freshly prepared by our award winning chefs. Two hundred years ago the highlight of the worlds nobility was to receive an invitation to the courts of the great Nawabs of India. You can now taste some of the dishes that made their entertainment legendary.

STARTERS


crispy papadums with chef's selections of home-made chutneys
followed by a glass of bucks fizz

Aloo Rosun Mushroom
Spiced potatoes and garlic mushrooms, pan fried with fresh herbs and spices. Served with salad.

Nawab's Kofta
Special Fine strips of chicken or venison grilled with fresh herbs, methi and garam massala. Served from a sizzling skillet - delicious!

Boiragee Bazaar Borra Special
Finely chopped chicken, prawns or vegetables garnished with fine herbs and coriander in golden crispy bread crumbed coating. Served with a sweet and sour sauce.

Kerelan Misha
Grilled aubergine stuffed with delicious spicy vegetables or strips of chicken, herbs, methi and coriander. Served with salad, you should try this.

Zolduf Misha Special
Turkey breast, beef, duck or prawns pan fried with capsicum, herbs, sweet aam chutney and lemon grass. Served on a sizzling skillet with a wafer thin puri.

Melon Special
Shrimp prawns on a bed of ice cold melon curls

Turkey Assamee Shazni
Christmas Special

Grilled breast of turkey cooked in a herb sauce together with fresh fennel, saffron, methi and chef's special herbs.

The Raj's Duck Metha Tenga
Maharajah's traditional grilled duck breasts cooked in a delicious mild creamy orange sauce.

Goanese Salmon ke Khazna
Goan style grilled fillets of salmon, cooked with fennel, lemon, ginger and subtle herbs. Traditionally skewered over open fires on the seashores of Goa.

Venison Sunderbans
Grilled venison finely sliced and panfried with garlic, crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, methi and spices from sundorbans, the home of royal bengal tigers.

Cellar's Gourmet ke Thezz
Turkey tikka, beef tikka, kingsize prawns, or duck marinated with rare herbs and spices from Cox's Bazaar and Chittagong region, grilled in our tandoor. Served on a sizzling skillet with spicy onions in a medium sauce.

Sada Cinnamon Massala Special
Turkey, lamb or prawns cooked in coconut milk with cinnamon, curry leaves, subtle herbs and coriander. Creamy and sweet
